Pastor Stephen Grant?
Stephen Grant is the pastor at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church on eastern Long Island. Grant is one of the more unique second-career clergy around, as he once worked for the CIA. Besides theology, his interests include archery, golf, writing, classic films, the beach, poker, baseball, and history. Grant also knows his wines, champagnes and brews. Oh yes, he generally dislikes politicians, and happens to be an expert marksman with a handgun and a rifle, while being pretty handy with a combat knife as well.

Check out Ray Keating's Latest Authors and Entrepreneurs Podcast, Episode 36: 5 Minutes on the Need for Another Set of Eyes on Your Book
Ray Keating explains why you need another set of eye to take a close, critical look at your book or other writing project. But it is critical to get someone who you can trust to produce constructive feedback and ideas. After all, everybody has an opinion and most are quite willing to tell you what they think, but is their feedback based on experience and is it constructive?
Keating goes on to explain that he now provides manuscript assessment and feedback for authors, offering thorough thoughts and suggestions, such as on story, plot, characters, dialogue, clarity, consistency and structure. This kind of constructive feedback is critical for authors and entrepreneurs. Listen at http://www.buzzsprout.com/147907/1116581-episode-36-5-minutes-on-the-need-for-another-set-of-eyes-on-your-book

Check out the Latest Episode of Ray Keating's Authors and Entrepreneurs Podcast
Noting that authors are entrepreneurs, Ray Keating makes the case that authors need a business plan – an action plan – for each of their books. Without such a plan, authors are simply missing out on opportunities. Keating goes on to explain the service he now offers to produce a business plan – again, an action plan – for authors.

Additional services...
Manuscript Assessment and Feedback on Your Book
Ray Keating will read your book, and provide an “Assessment and Feedback” memo that offers thorough thoughts and suggestions, such as on story, plot, characters, dialogue, clarity, consistency and structure. Throughout his career in writing, business and teaching, Keating has always appreciated constructive feedback for his own efforts, and believes that such feedback is critical for authors and entrepreneurs. Ray Keating’s “Assessment and Feedback” service focuses on the complete book, pointing out the positives and suggested areas for improvement.
Copyediting for Your Book
Perhaps your book simply needs a quality round of copyediting. Ray Keating offers that service as well. The copyedit will not touch the content of your book, but instead will focus on issues like spelling, punctuation, grammar, terminology, and capitalization, along with matters of continuity when it comes to plot and characters. This is especially critical for authors who plan to take the indie or self-publishing path.

Ray Keating as a Guest Speaker - Via Phone or Skype
Dear Friends of the Pastor Stephen Grant Novels:
If you are interested, I would love to speak to your church,
group, book club, etc. about my novels, writing, Christianity in our culture,
and more! Of course, the logistics and costs of making personal appearances across
the country are daunting, so I’m tossing out the idea of speaking to your group
via telephone (all you need is a speaker phone) or Skype (or a similar Internet
video service). I’ve done this several times in my economist and podcaster lives,
and would love to start doing it with the Pastor Stephen Grant novels. I
usually offer some prepared remarks and then toss it open for some fun Q&A.
I can speak about one book and/or the entire Pastor Stephen
Grant universe – whatever might fit your needs. Also, if your group would like
to order signed books in advance, we can of course do that through www.raykeatingonline.com. I’d love
to hear back to see if this appeals to you and how we can make it work. Just
shoot me an email at raykeating@keatingreports.com.
Thanks again for your support, and God bless!
Ray Keating
