Pastor Stephen Grant?

Stephen Grant is the pastor at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church on eastern Long Island. Grant is one of the more unique second-career clergy around, as he once worked for the CIA. Besides theology, his interests include archery, golf, writing, classic films, the beach, poker, baseball, and history. Grant also knows his wines, champagnes and brews. Oh yes, he generally dislikes politicians, and happens to be an expert marksman with a handgun and a rifle, while being pretty handy with a combat knife as well.

James Bond as Your Pastor or Priest?

What if someone like James Bond became your pastor or priest? Well, that’s not too far from what it’s like with Stephen Grant – a onetime Navy SEAL, former CIA operative and now a pastor. The just-published DEEP ROUGH is the eleventh Pastor Stephen Grant thriller/mystery. Grab the latest, the first (WARRIOR MONK), and all of the adventures in between.

Among the praise from reviewers for award-winning novelist Ray Keating are...

“Ray Keating is a great novelist.” – host of KFUO radio’s BookTalk

“I miss Tom Clancy. Keating fills that void for me.” – Lutheran Book Review

“Grant mixes battling America's enemies and sparring with enemies of traditional Christian values, while ministering to his Long Island flock. The amazing thing is that the character works. The Stephen Grant novels are great reads beginning with Warrior Monk, which aptly describes Ray Keating's engaging hero.”  David Keene, Editor-at-Large, The Washington Times

“Only Ray Keating could come up with a character like Pastor Stephen Grant.”  - Paul L. Maier, author of A Skeleton in God's Closet, More Than A Skeleton, and The Constantine Codex

The full list of the Pastor Stephen Grant thrillers and mysteries are: WARRIOR MONK, ROOT OF ALL EVIL?, AN ADVENT FOR RELIGIOUS LIBERTY, THE RIVER, MURDERER’S ROW, WINE INTO WATER, LIONHEARTS, REAGAN COUNTRY, HEROES AND VILLAINS, SHIFTING SANDS and DEEP ROUGH.
